Knitting has real health benefits that has transformed and even saved lives. It has been proven to be helpful for anxiety, depression, panic attacks, PTSD, pain management, stress, chronic health management, social confidence, boredom and more. We show people how to harness kntting as a therapeutic tool and create projects that increase mental and emotional resilience. Whatever is happening in their lives, knitting gives people a positive and constructive goal to work towards – something they can succeed with, that belongs to them and they have control over. The benefits of knitting for health are similar to meditation, but unlike meditation, knitting is portable and allows people to self-calm quickly without mental focus.
